Fireworks are Cool

We decided that there is a top three for July 4th's. Our list is as follows...
San Diego, on Coronado Island, Weston, Mo. at the high school stadium and now Lake Sammamish, WA. There were fireworks displays everywhere on the lake last night. It was quite the show and lasted about two hours.
The weather got nicer as the day went on, we only needed sweatshirts in the evening. Cousin Lauren who is two, kept us quite entertained. She had told us during the day that she "did not like fireworks". Bob and Riley had gone to a local fireworks stand and got some sparklers, poppers, etc. When she saw those she quickly changed her mind about fireworks and enjoyed the show with the rest of us.
It was a great day. Great to get out of the house, away from boxes and boxes of crap wrapped up in white packing paper, furniture in the wrong place, laundery and so much more. So today is just more of the same, unpack, move, wash, relocate, on and on. Cloudy, misty this morning, cool and cloudy now. Nice... Bob has made yet another Home Depot trip and has gotten much done to make my life easier.
My aunt and her friend Susie gave me some great advice last night. Don't worry about getting your house unpacked and perfect right now. When the sun is out and weather is nice and the days are long, get out and do things. You will have plenty of time for all of that during the short daylight, cold, rainy days of winter.
Here's hoping that your 4th was in your top three.
